Sounds like breweries blowing hot air to blame shit beer on the wheat. Ie its tge wheats fault out beer tastes stale.

Then again tge less pessimistic side of me says cool. I wonder if it will increase the grains shelf life as grain is sacks of grain last longer

That is because supermarkets demand a BBE three times long as that.

Three months is a figure oft bandied about.

Depending on the actual malt specs and flavour, I think this is a cool development, especially if other stablised varieties can bred from it.
