Yeast. Is there anything it cant do?
I remember seeing a doco a while back where they were actually using it to produce diesel. I think there are actually plants up and running now.

Personally I'm a sucker for anything genetically modified with the adjective '2.0' attached.
Naturally, it wont be long before the usual suspects start bawling 'scientists playing god!!'.
