So this morning my 1.5L starter seemed to have slowed down quite a bit - around 1 bubble/30 seconds out the airlock (compared to 1/sec!). So I drained the liquid down to 1L remaining, swirled it to form a nice yeast slurry, and added 500mL of this to two fresh DME worts of 1000mL.

12 hours later, I have a nice krausen on each, and both are bubbling *exactly* in unison, around 1 bubble/second.

One bottle will be pitched between two fermenters tomorrow, and the other will be left to complete and then store the yeast for another time.

Matt

P.S. Don't leave your airlock in iodine overnight - otherwise it ends up looking like the one on the left!
