Hi guys.
Does anyone know how to see all the available users of a single computer on the startup screen.
I used to have myself, the wife & the three kids folders on the screen but for some reason it now just says mine + other users folder where everyone else seems to be.
Also, when I log off, it stays on the last person that logged off & will not show me everybody's folders.
Damn windows. I hate this crap.
Any help appreciated, it's doing my head in.

Have you recently changed your home network so it's a Domain, not a workgroup (have you added a server)?
If not, I'm guessing it's just showing you as the last logged in user and then all the other users are in the folder you've mentioned
Check out this blog post if it's the second scenario http://techthat.net/2010/06/24/windows-7-login-screen-only-showing-last-logged-on-user-and-other-user/
Thanks mate.
I'm trying to get my head around that info.
A bit scared I'll delete something I shouldn't & **** will hit the fan.

The only thing you should delete is Windows itself,a bloated load of crap IMO 3aqkdvmp7mbsot65g69p3ksub15157fa1169b05.jpeg

So very true.

Still cant believe people are getting sucked into using anything by Micro$oft.........and paying for it....the mind boggles.

As much as I agree with the posters suggesting alternatives to windows, the simple answer to your question is to click start, control panel, then user accounts. It should list all user accounts set up in w$ndows.

I like Ubuntu/Linux, but I use Windows 7 at work, and I'm a gamer so It's what I mostly use (steam still doesn't have all their games ported to Linux yet)
My home PC is dual booting Ubuntu and Windows 7, Ubuntu for when I just want it to boot really quickly and I can code/read forums/facebook/etc, then Windows for when I want to game/use brewmate/don't mind waiting for it to boot/use Pro Tools
Each system has it's place...

Yeah true.
I'm sick of windows & all it's associated threat possibilities.
I will probably look at an Apple Mac next time round although I hate everything apple, Androd rocks............
I found the solution in regedit. I had to delete a couple of S.1.xxx folders that didn't have the three file paths that I needed.
After deleting, I held my breath & re-started the system & all back to normal. All user folders are there everytime anyone logs off so all good.
Thanks for the tips fellas.

Why? You can get almost every single component you'll find inside it from your average Pc shop. There's only two things Apple does well, limiting consumer choice so it only has to deal with a limited number of configurations (read: Easy as **** to develop / maintain..) and overselling it's presumptuous self image to encourage morons to buy their ****.

Windows and Linux have to contend with hundreds, if not thousands of possible hardware/driver configurations. I use windows because it suits my needs. There's lots of Linux distro's out there that aren't half bad either. But you couldn't give me a mac.

Wrong. Try again. F-

Actually Linux will work on a much wider variety of cip sets like ARM,RISC etc....Windoze is limited to x386 architucture. ( although they are getting it onto ARM finally )

Sorry to take this off topic.

Crusty I believe in control panel in user accounts there is a radio button that talks about the way users log onto the system. It is called the welcone screen.

Cheers,
Idzy

Thanks for all the help, got it sorted.
I am playing around with Ubuntu desktop at the moment & it's really good. Just a small change of boot order from the BIOS so it fires up from the USB stick.
BeerSmith 2 runs on it too so pretty happy about that.
It's heaps better than windows so I might just install it.
Cheers

Having boot from a usb makes it really easy to use it on other PC' without mucking around with installation, and it wont affect whatever you have on the PC, and you can still read/write/use files on the PC hard drive.

Did you use wine to run beersmith
