Hi everyone,

I recently put down a Coopers Pale ale

1.7Kg Coopers Pale Ale
1Kg Brew Enhancer No.2
30gms Amarillo hops 5 Mins

The fermentation process completed and I racked it into a 20L cube and put it in the fridge for about a week.

I use the 750Ml PET bottles and were primed with 2 carb drops.

Now I've left it for 2 weeks and there is bugger all gas in the bottles. Am I being paranoid or should I leave the bottles for a few more weeks to see what happens.

Note there was a slight SShhhhh noise when I opened the first bottle. Basically beer is flat though.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Hi Mcstretch.
were the bottles in a cold place? they might need to be in a warmer area for the carbination prosess to take place.

The bottles are sitting in the next room adjacent the fermenter so temperature wise I'd say they'd be sitting around 20 degrees

Invert the bottles a couple of times to stir the yeast up. That should get things moving.

Yep, agree with this......do it daily, and leave at 20C, and you should have plenty of fizz in another week or so.... the rousing of the yeast cuts the carb time dramaticaly.

ahhhh.....theres nowt like a bit of fizz....
