hi all,

i'm sorta stuck on what to brew next.

i've just put down a apa with 1056 yeast and since i'm being kinda lazy was going to repitch.

however, i'm not to sure if i want to brew another apa on top of it or try something else.

so i've got the following grains

pale malt
pilsner malt
cara aroma
cara amber
amber
roast malt
crystal
cara malt
wheat
melaidon (sp)

most of the noble hops
northdown
some cascade
some simcoe

i was thinking of using either the cara aroma or amber to try it out.

i'm stuck like a bad sparge !!!

so please post some ideas on what to do, otherwise its most likely going to end up as weird hybrid apa thingy

thanks

Bonk,

I find that it takes a few washes of the yeast with distilled water to get rid of the APA aroma. If you're just going to repitch then maybe something along the same lines. Give this beer a go. I made one recently which is in the keg now, used the pale, amber, munich (I note you don't have any), melanoiden and crystal (60L) in a hybridised version of Fat Tire. Maybe sub Fuggle for Willamette if you don't have any, I used Cascade in mine and overall, very tasty.

Cheers.

hey duff,

yeah i was thinking that the cascade will still be hanging around,

i got a bit of munich left, so i might give it a bash.

cheers
