Wet Hopping

Ok so I'm just about to harvest my first ever hop plants and have been doing some research and found out about this method 'wet hopping'. I'm wondering how much success people have had around this? I was going to just use what has grown and through them in as the dry hop process rather than the pellets I have.
Thoughts, comments and helpful tips would be awesome - cheers

Everything I know about wet hopping comes from this Brewing Network episode. It's worth just listening rather than me relating it, I'll probably just screw it up.
