Hi guys,
Just thought some of you may be interested in this - an excel spreadsheet that does two things:
1. Calculates how long an electric element will take to heat a volume of water to a temperature - I use this to set the time for the right amount of time.
2. Calculate the required volume of cold water to add to hot water resulting in an accurate final temperature water. I use this when topping upo the HLT so I get it to the right temperature - typically when reducing the temperature after a mash out.
Anyway - instructions are on the sheet itself - use as you see fit.
