Need maybe that number again for a reasonable price.

120 bottles. It's funny, when I was on the mainland, that was my backup supply for non-kegged beers (you know the extra 6 or so bottles out of the fermenter).

Now I'm in Tassie, I don't even have that many bottles, and no kegs.

Another suggestion to @OP, if you're stocking up, grab the woolies soda water bottles in 1.5L (not 1.25L) for double tallies. In a dark box, they will be fine. That's my plan and with an alcohol off august, I'll ramp up drinking fizzy water to get me something.

Head down to your local and ask if you can have their empty champas bottles. They'll need a good rise, but are brilliant for home brew. Might take a few trips to build up your collection, but I've always found they are more than happy to help you out.

They won't take a standard beer crown seal, but you can get a different sized capping bell and crown seals for them.

also, head into the city and ask at Section 8, they go through quite a number of Coopers longnecks and AFAIK they throw them out, is probably worth the look.
