Hi All,

I'm about to buy a new chesty and it will live in an outdoor environment, by that I mean under a large (7mx5M) patio area, so undercover, but outside.

Now I would like to know your thoughts on vinyl wrapping a chesty to help preserve the exterior and prevent rust..

Seem like a good idea?

Cheers

I vaguely remember someone on here posting a couple o pics of their old fridge that they vinyl wrapped with a blue flame on black background motif. Looked pretty neat.
I can't see any problems with vinyl wrapping your new freezer. A bit of a routine clean and maintenance would also go a long way to keep it from premature aging.
Cheers.

Edit: No spell me good.

Somewhere on here is a pic of a wheelie bin tap set up, the lid painted white and vinal wrap image of bubbly beer. Hell it looks like a big glass of ale.
Awesome. Just be careful with the prep.

Not freezers I know but.....

I like that ^^

So, no complaints, cool..

Just got to find the chesty I want during EoFS..

seems most are out of stock..

The go would be to take a photo of the inside empty, and put that on the door, so it looks like an open empty fridge

or have the female talent in the fridge looking out..

Yep that's me, I've got pics in my gallery but I can't link them from my phone it seems. Here is a few photo bucket ones.

That's awesome, just don't get drunk and leave it out the front of your house..

It does seem like a good idea. I'd try to get a plain colour or design that will not look bad if sun bleaching occurs.

Here's my first keezer. Helps when wide format print is your busines
How much would it cost for something like that, say for a fridge or 500 litre chest feezer (maybe a sea of Guinness, with a tiny tinny with a couple of guys fishing - so I can tell that joke EVERY time)?

If you were to have direct sunlight hitting it, would suggest going with precomputed vinyl.
It's cast with the colour pigment in it and fading won't be an issue for 7-10 years.
Digital prints are good for up to 5 yrs before reds and blues start to blend

If you're going to apply the vinyl yourself then I'd recommend asking for a 'bubble free' or air release vinyl
