I went to the property that should (soon) be mine as part of my divorce settlement. Lo and behold what did I find...

(sorry about the quality of the pics - only had my phone on me)...

Somehow it

a) missed the neighbours house.
B) missed my house.
c) missed most of the fence.
d) Got the pool - dead centre!

Ok - so in a way I'm luck as nobody was hurt and no houses were damaged...

Now how the F*&% am I going to get the thing out of the F*&#ing Pool

I don't even know who to call!

Claim it on insurance and let them sort out the removal!

No... it looks like it may not be covered.

Jason.

Call a tree sugeon ( with insurance ) out of your local paper.
Not as big job as you think. A rough guess me thinks about $450

We used to love doing these sort of curly ones ( when i was in the game )
Takes away from the normal lopping job.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for that... I may actually be able to sleep tonight...

With the divorce my finances have reached critical, then this happens. I was imagining thousands of dollars - I guess the only real risk is if the pool has been damaged. It's a 30 year old concrete job so chances are nothing can damage it too badly.

It would have cost me a grand to have it cut down. Now it's down, I imagine a similar fee to cleanup the mess.

At least there's hope.

And damn it - I didn't read the 'house must be lived in' clause in my insurance. The place has been empty for several months (again.. the divorce).

Unfortunatly I will probably have to give up brewing for a couple of months :(
Cheers

Come on! isn't there something else less important than brewing you could do without? Food? Electricity, maybe? :p

I'm in shock...

The insurance company has said it's covered, no problem at all. I have NEVER had that response from an insurance company before!

All that stress and worry for nothing.
