Townsville Bound

Off to Townsville tomorrow for 3 days with work.
Anything HB / Pub related worth tracking down and having a look at?

Check out the Townsville Brewery. It is in the middle of town, but don't head in 'late' on a Sunday afternoon for a few as we found out recently on a visit as they close early due to lack of customers :angry:

Only tried the light in a bottle, but there are a few good looking beers I will get to next time I'm visting my sister. Plenty of SS bling behind the glass to drool over in the main bar.

i tried the Bitter and the Wheat, both were nice beers, you have a good view of the Tuns etc from the Bar.

Thanks guys,
Back in sunny Darwin now and yes I got to sample each of their brews (a couple of times). Very impressed.
Top of the list IMHO was 'Ned's Red' Red ale followed by their 'Digger's' Pale ale and then the 'Burdekin Gold' Wheat beer.
The remainder (Townsville bitter, Flanagan's dry Irish stout & Lager lout) I drank but kept going back to the top three.
Thanks again for the suggestion. Made my trip very enjoyable.
