Hi there
Just had a month in Europe enjoying the large range of beers. Did a tour of the Pilsner Urquell brewery in Plzen (Pilsen in English) last week, worth the visit if in Czech Republic or Prague. The home of pilsner beer. Am outgoing to put down a brew of Pilsner, but asked at the brewery if they add any hops after fermentation- simple answer no they add 3 times during boil. Has anyone added hops for aroma to a Pilsner and what flavor profiles do you get? I know you don't add anything citrus or fruity as it kills off the biscuit/floral notes I've spent a few years adding a lot of aroma hops to my brews, but really enjoyed the Pilsners I had in the last month, but want to experiment and elevate them.
