Anyone have access to a recipe for Theakston's Best Bitter?

From the Wheeler & Protz book.....

Theakston's Best Bitter.

Pale malt 2900 gm
crystal malt 200gm
Flaked maize(corn) 320gm
Cane sugar 510gm
Target hops 13 gm(Full boil)
Fuggles hops 33gm(Full Boil)
Goldings hops 15gm( last 15 min)


Mash at 65o C for 90 min
boil for 2 hours
OG 1038
(Bitterness) 24EBU

final volume 23 litres

That must be out of the 1st edition. The 2nd edition has a slightly different recipe but comparing it to the info in the Real Ale Almanac - the first recipe looks closer.

Just remember to recalculate all the hopping to your own effeciency. Wheeler assumes quite a low hop efficency, and many people that brew his recipes blindly complain that they are too bitter.
