Just assembling a new portable keg setup. I have two reg/Co2 bottles, a 3.5kg bottle with standard two stage reg for carbing and a sodastream bottle with one gauge mini-reg for pushing out beer in the porta-keg setup.

The mini-reg is a little basic looking and I am worried that it may not be accurate. If its out I may end up with under/over carbed beer by the end of the party.

So the question is: Can I run a gas line between the gas outs of both regs, pump some gas in to say 20psi, and then see if both gauges read the same?

I am new to the keg thing but the scientist in me thinks there is no problem, but the DIY retard in me thinks this must be a bad idea.

Thoughts?

Yes, you could. However if it a mini reg like this

I can say they are a great regulator and very accurate..
