Have to say, compared to some other forums with which I'm a member, dane has done a brilliant job of making advertisers visible but not annoying.

Just recieved this from Dane, which explains the current banner size. It's my understanding that Dane wishes to limit the advertising to just 3.

"Just a little update - the 3rd sponsor Grain & Grape has come online.

I encountered a problem when putting the 3rd banner online - in that for people still running 800x600 the banner was too wide. According to my stats there is still 6% of users using 800x600.

I've had to shave off some pixels on both of your banners to get them to fit ok at this small res.

I'm working on some javascript code that will show these slightly smaller banners if you have a small screen resolution, otherwise it will show the regular full version.

There isn't a whole lot of difference but I just wanted to let you know of the change."

too true!! when i rang them for their 20% off sale recently (barley crusher) i had it all tee'd up to buy then he crushed me by saying the offer was INSTORE ONLY!!! the internets offer had been but scant weeks before!! SPEWIN!
