I have a westinghouse 502 Signature Series fridge, it holds 2 comfortably, and with some persuasion can chill 2x fermentation vessels to 1 deg c.

And it was free.

Dimensions:
Freezer 131 litres, Auto Defrost
Refrigerator 373 litres
Dimensions 1680mm Height, 790mm Wide, 670mm Depth

I use the brewcraft screw top 30L fermenters.

Cheers,

Best to go for an all fridge model

400L will easily take two fermenters, but the next size down works too

I've got a 266 litre 'all fridge' and it takes a 25 and a 30. Only takes 2 kegs on one layer.

I'd get a 300 minimum to be on the safe side. A bit easier to handle air-locks and blow off tubes too.

i have a 280 ltr all fridge .
if you brew in rectangular 20 ltr plastic jerry cans (they hold more than this) , most fridges will fit 2-3 side by side.
i can fit 6 in my fridge :icon_drunk: :icon_cheers:
easy to clean just soak in homebrand unscented nappysan o/nite, use glad wrap instead of an airlock.

Mine is an all fridge too.

For future reference anyone know how to rotate a posted image?.

Don't think you can rotate once posted. Paste it into MSPaint and use 'rotate' image and save it before you post.

Nice setup :icon_drool2:

If you manage all your picture files using Picasa (free download) you can do all sorts of fixes including rotating

Mould? I though someone had spewed in there.

Thanks all,

I will be having a look around for a 300+ liter one
fingers crossed it will be a all fridge.

If possible find one of the older single door ones with the freezer compartment set behind an internal door. When the freezer compartment is removed, the chiller plate remains behind and thus, the running time of the fridge is reduced. Overall.....cheaper to run and more effective.

Hope this helps. :icon_drunk:

sorry if this is slightly :icon_offtopic: ..but if using a fermenting fridge which has a seperate freezer compartment, is the feezer compartment of any use for anything?...I figured it would just run about 15-18C below the fridge temp, so if fermenting at 18, vould make a handy beer fridge??? But I dont know much, maybe it freezes and then overheats?

Not really of any use mate, the freezer compartment supplies the cold air for the fridge compartment (via some ducting / flow control measures) so unless you have a fridge with a seperate compressor for each the food section and the freezer section, and independent thermostats for each, you can really only use the fridge as a fermentation tool.

You can however devise means for diverting increased airflow from freezer to fridge compartment, could involve hacking and slashing, reworking ducting etc which will make your fridge run for less time (cool the fridge area faster) which can save energy costs over time.

Hi All,
I have a double glass door commercial fridge I no longer need. It has a new motor and can fit 2 x 60 ltr fermenters, 6 x 19 ltr kegs and several cartons of whatever all at once.
It's dimensions are 1500mm high x 930mm wide x 550 deep. Ring me if anyone needs it. 042 888 1995 B)
