Hi guys, Im totally new to this all grain and bulk buy thing. However due to the economics of brewing, I want in for this next bulk buy. Im guessing a sack of Marris Otter floor malted and pilsner malt would be a good start for a newbie yeah? So what is the process? do I just add my order to the list? I will give it a go. Please let me know if i have done it wrong.

Yes just add your order to the list, and another Brewer is organising the Bulk Buy.. Once all is done payment is made to him and he pays Ross..

Do I just pay Ross in advance?

Squire has an excell spreadsheet that will have your grain and cost including freight to Ross'. When a date is set for order you just deposit funds to Squire and he does the rest and you just grab your sacks from Ross' when it gets there. Its well organised and a champion effort by Squire.

Had a big weekend so i've been a bit slack with the Spreadsheet update. I will put one out tonight when i get home.

MattC - Basically you tell me what you want and if your splitting with someone and i wack it in the spreadsheet. You pay me, i pay Ross. We all collect on a set day.
I notice your in Ballina, be aware that the Bulk Buys are pickup from Ross's shop ONLY. There is NO forward shipping from that point. And it is preferable that we all collect at roughly the same time, on the same day.

Sqyre, yeah thanks for including me, it makes sense to do it this way. Im only about 2 hours from Ross shop and am on holidays until Jan 27 so i can come up at any time up til then, after that I will do my best to get up there on the same day as everyone else. Gain an hour going up there at moment so should be able to make it before close if the pick up is mid week, otherwise if its a weekend, no probs!! Is there any rough idea of when the pickup may be?
