Brewer's Notes
The Amarillo hops are actually Galaxy. The yeast used was WLP009 Australian Ale. The TF crystal was approx 90 EBC. Mashed for 90 mins at 65-66oc. I believe Australian styles can be based on o/s styles but with an Australian character. This beer scored a 38.7/50 (range 37 to 41) at the Schwartz Brewery Comp this year which was pleasing but also gives it some cred as a beer. In my opinion it is full of flavour but very easy to drink. The IBU seems moe like 45IBU to me. It just came first in the specialty class at the Bathurst NSW Comp, 41/50.
