Pump Selection

I am thinking about implementing a pump into my system for whirlpooling & mash recirculation.

What type of pump would be best for doing this ?

March pumps seem to be very popular but is this the best option for what I am after ?

Another question regarding March pumps....

If I am recirculating and shut the valve off to the kettle, what happens to the wort once the pump runs dry. Does wort just get left in the line between the pump and the kettle ?

Sorry for the stupid question, I am just trying to envisage how it works..

Afternoon crells. Do a search on march pumps, all your questions should be answered. Very popular pumps for brewing.

dont know enough about march pumps to say, but ive got one on order after what ive been told about them

if you dont want any wort lef tin the pump just flush it with some hot water untill it comes out clear.
