I just harvested a heap of good looking hops from a bine i had forgotten about. Freezer is full and i have no time to brew this week.

So I was thinking of loading a 9Litre corny with the hops (and a screen or filter or bag of some sort) and pushing an american brown i have in the fermenter through it on the way to the serving keg. Just a single pass, like a pre keg randall or a post ferment hop back.

Can anyone see any down sides?

Mate, I haven't done it so this an educated guess. Considering the fact you have a brown ale that is in the fermenter why don't you add the hops and ale to the keg for a week and then rack into serving keg?

Ah. Yes that is a good point, however indidnt mention the last time i dry hopped with my own hops it yielded a very herbal beer. Im guessong my drying wasnt adequate.

Hence why a slow pass through at room temp might work?

Only one way to find out!

i would suggest you purge the hop keg with CO2
