Hello,

Im was wondering if anyone knew or had any suggestions to what hops i should add for flavour to this base,


3kg LME
400g Dex
POR hops approx 25g 11.3%aa @ 60min
??? hops @ 15min

I'd say Perle, have done before and works quite well with this hop imo!
It's a great all round hop that gives you a smooth balanced flavour, aroma and bitterness too,
I'd suggest adding 10g @ 30 and 10g at 5 minutes, but 15g at 15min will be fine too, just less hop flavour,
Another hop you can use is Czech Saaz which won't give you much more bitterness and i find is not a really versatile hop like Perle!
Btw what kind of beer are you going for here?

Am going for something like a Coopers Sparkling Ale or similar..

In that case

Here's a Coopers Sparkling hop schedule,

15g Pride of Ringwood @ 60 Minutes
15g Pride of Ringwood @ 15 Minutes
10g Pride of Ringwood @ 2 minutes

I'd suggest if you want the 'coopers taste' to give reclturing their yeast from 2 bottles of pale ale or sparkling a go, theres a lot of info on this site about how to do it.

Also id say make this a 23L beer and up dextrose to 500g [this will bring the beer to sparkling ale's 5.2% apv]!

If you want to add some grain you could make it closer to the original sparkling ale with 100g Crystal(60L) and 40g Chocolate Malt (600L).

But if youre not too fussed don't add the grain or yeast and just use a US-05 yeast instead and you will still make a good beer!

Yep, I use recultured coopers yeast quite a bit and will give your hop schedule a shot..

No worries mate, made a dark ale just recently with the yeast, works a flippin' treat with darkeys i rekon! :icon_cheers:
