would depend on weather the cooling coil can take the pressure
 
I was thinking it would be like a Temprite.....
Connect Keg ... Gas ..... Drink.....
Anyone made one..?

Have you got a picture you could show?
 
it would probably take the pressure easily even though they usually have pressure reducing valves on them i think its only to about 200kPa.
your problem would be that it wont keep up.
the ones ive worked usually start to get mains water temp after about 1 litre or so goes through them and then it takes a while to get the next coil of water cold enough.

I doubt it would work.
If you are talking about plumbing your keg straight into one, by the time the carbed up beer goes through all the various twists, turns and valves, you'll end up with nothing but a frothy mess and / or flat beer coming out. Also like the previous caller said, you'll basically only be poring a litre at a time while it chills.
I guess you could allways run chardonnay through it if tipped it into the keg first, or gravity fed it into the cooler. mmm - classy..
