Do they come with the buffer solutions to calibrate? Or do you need to order extra? If so How much for the below to calibrate frequently as instructed;

HI 70004P pH 4.01 buffer sachet (20 ml, 25 pcs)
HI 70007P pH 7.01 buffer sachet (20 ml, 25 pcs)
HI 70010P pH 10.01 buffer sachet (20 ml, 25 pcs)

and also which is needed;

HI 70300M Storage solution, 230 ml bottle
HI 7061M Cleaning solution, 230 ml bottle

Cheers,
Shaun.
The 10.01 calibration solution is not required.

Both the cleaning and storage solutions are needed according to the electrode instruction manual.

The manual is attached to the original post.

Hi Barry,

Happy to split three ways if Martin is.

This said, after on Shaunus' post I'm not 100% on what we need. Do we need the following:

- HI 70300M Storage solution, 230 ml bottle
- HI 7061M Cleaning solution, 230 ml bottle
- Buffers for each pH (do we onle need 4 and 7 and obviously calbrating for pH in this range)?

Anyone know?
The way I read it you need all of them, but Im not positive.

I called the rep about this, only the professional model comes with sachets of solutions.
According to her, it comes with 2 sachets each of the 4.01 buffer, 7.01buffer and cleaning solutions.
It does not come with storage solution.

The lower 2 models do not come with any solutions.

My uneducated understanding was that the cleaning solution isn't strictly necessary, so long as its looked after correctly- hence why I was looking at only the storage solution, 4 buffer, and 7 buffer solution. Happy to go with whatever though to be honest.

Cheers

I'm in:

Brisbane:

  1. TheCarbinator + friend - HI 98128 x 2
  2. BABBS members - HI 98103 x 1 and HI 98128 x 5
Total: 8 meters

Melbourne:

  1. bazfletch3 - HI 98128 x1
  2. Goon Boy - HI 98128 x 1
  3. MartinOC - HI 98103 x 1
  4. Wolfman- HI 98128 x 1
Total: 4 meters

Would like one of the Pro models, but getting that past the missus may be hard! Any chance of a better price on that model?

I'm happy to split the required buffers & storage solution.

Let's see whoever else from Melbourne wants in & decide on how much to get & divvie-up from there.

Sound like a plan?

Yeah I think it's a bit steep too.
Once we get the numbers, I might talk to her about dropping the price on that one a bit.

I'm going to ask if we can do it for $300 including gst.
Bear in mind that the Amazon price would be rock bottom.

Grain and Grape list the storage solution on thier website as well........ for $41 a bottle!

I'm up for a HI99151 if we can get it at around $300inc, my cheap arse pH meter died on the weekend just in time to miss 80L brewed over Sat/Sun.

+1 for BABBS Brisbane.
