That's very nice, I do like the original BM but I wouldn't swap because I think my version is better :)
I certainly think so too!

Ok so I just started heating the spare water in my home built sous vide.

Wort is also clearing up.

Currently about 19* here in the Blessed Realm heading for 21 and chance of a shower later.

When I finish the laundry and do the floors I'll get set up for a brew day and post some pix as well, including that Ozito drill that's been discussed on another thread.

I'm finally getting my 150 lashes brewed, have been stuck on Age of Empires HD for the last week.

Hey adry, two brews in a day is something I have never tried before. It's one of the limitations of having a single vessel system.

Nice going :)

Two pumps, makes it simple :)
One recirculates in mash #2 while the other handles the boil / wort transfer etc.

Numbers game.

Estimated
Efficiency 82.8%
Pre boil volume 27.58L
Gravity 1.050

Actual
Efficiency 81.3%
Pre boil volume 28.7L
Gravity 1.048

Adjusted boil length by a few minutes to accommodate for increased volume.

Image notes:
Raise malt pipe for sparing
Sparing 1L at a time
Cooling my sample for my refractometer

The step mash is basically just so I can dough in low and ramp up. The 40 and 55 steps aren't really serving much purpose in this recipe, but it's free when you have an auto-system.

Looks good. Just mashed in on my simple BIAB in an urn setup. Nothing as flash as this :icon_drool2:

Bloody pouring!
30 mins into 1st boil, 20mins into 2nd mash.

Power tripped 3 times - why am i doing this in the rain?
Now the electrics are covered its go time again.

Note - had to swap Nelson for Galaxy - left my bloody pound of Nelson in Sydney, limited the ammount of hops i brought to QLD to an esky full :(

Rage. Gas bottle ran out :(

So much goes wrong in the rain. Zeus hates me.

DOUBLE OUCH!!!

Boiler is a 4 burner, so thats fine.
1st batch done, cubed and complete.
2nd one had a nice hour long rest at 50'C and has been moved onto the 4 ring burner and now sitting at 70 for 40 mins.

May need to buy a new kettle element. Mines tripping the power constantly - will wait for it to dry and test next week.
