Hi Folks,

I mentioned in another thread that I've been having problems with astringency in my brews which I think is due to batch sparging and possibly having to use water that's too hot to hit my mash temp. I'm mashing in an old esky and I think it loses quite a bit of heat.

I was thinking that one way to address this would be to get an OTS immersion heater that I could put in my esky mash tun.

Just wondering what people are using and have found to work well?

Cheers,

Chris

Grimwood, stir constantly, ensure mash isn't too thick, turn off before removing from liquid.
Godsend type piece of kit.

I tried a search for Grimwood and came up with this http://www.grimwoodheating.com.au/
but the website doesn't seem to be working properly.

Is there a particular model that you recommend and any idea where I can get one?
