Howdy guys. After setting up a few 19Ltr kegs for beer I have ventured in to another area for kegs I have been playing with making my own spirits for self comsumption, But seeming i have a kegging system i put 2 and 2 together and thought i would make a bourbon and cola mix in a keg. So, While i got the mixtures right for a 50Ltr keg i am having some trouble with my line getting air pockets in it, The drink comes out with a little bit of carbonation in it but every time i pour a drink the line starts getting air pockets in it. Any suggestions on what i can do to fix this and has any one else gone this way with kegs and home brew with better resulkts than me?

the cola is normally syrup and mixed with water and co2..the cornies we use is what they where used for..the syrup now comes in a bladder, that's the history lesson..hence the word post mix

Um Du99..I think he might be asking why he has Co2 blow out...unfortunately the history isn't going to tell him how to fix it lol...
Basically what's happening bloke is the Co2 is coming out of solution...
Could you let us know what diameter and how long your line is ?
I'm wondering if upping your PSI a little bit may help
? What is happening is your system is out of balance..what pressure are you serving at ? How cold is it ?
Bit more info and we may be able to help!'
Cheers

Well after switching to the corny with the same pressure and line, It pours like it should. So i am guessing it must be something to do with the 50L keg. Should this make any difference or should i have different pressures and lines for a bigger keg. I these bourbon and cola kegs like nothing else and use the 19s for beer. Any help would be great.

Cheers
Glen

It will be a seal somewhere in ur 50l keg. I've got a an issue with an odd keg (non corny) atm and it blows foam no matter what as somewhere in the keg seals/posts there is a leak and it just fucks everything up. Try changing seals on ur 50L

I have another 50 or 2 so will try them down the track, Cheers
