Got my order this morning less than 24 hrs after submitting it!

It came with a nice little "warning" from Karen to "watch that yeast - very active" - although I already knew that Nottingham was very active it's certainly a good to see some product knowledge on display.

And sorry Karen, it's not "very active"; it's a f***ing monster!

:)

(P.S. I don't suggest writing "it's a f***ing monster" on the invoices)

Think she might have PTSD after opening the fermenter fridge one night and the yeast tried to do strange things to her leg. That's Notty for you.

My yeast came wrapped in ice packs and then butchers paper with, "Two pieces of cod and large chips" written on it.
Thought you'd like that Batz.

The only minor complaint I have is my ice pack came wrapped but the yeast (or cod) wasn't in it! Not too concerned as it was only overnight.
>Facepalm< sorry Parks, one of us obviously had a numpty moment. Probably me.

My stainless fermenters arrived today, on the top of box had written:

"Remove and wrap, plus Bong" - I was wondering 'what the hell? This is just after reading Batz' post...' - I thought Martin may be the guy who was peddling those stainless bongs ages ago.. anyone remember that?

Anyway, I open it and notice the rubber BUNG taped to it.. then realise.

LOL - took me back a decade or so.... :p

BTW: Nice looking things - will post in the dedicated thread when I get to use them but am looking forward to using them heaps... mainly the ease of cleaning them *Cracks out pressure cleaner*

Martin, Thanks AGAIN for a quick delivery and great service. Let me know when you have those harnesses.

All good. As I said not really a worry as it was overnight, but may have been an issue if it was over the weekend etc (the ice pack itself had no cool left in it).

Does the magnetic stirring plate come with a stir bar? I'm very interested in it...

I bought one of these, fantastic stir plate. My old computer fan, home made jobbie has not been used since.

Got my magnetic stir plate and a few brew ingredients the other day along with a friendly message from Karen wishing me well of my yeasty future, they look great and the plate works awesome. I look forward to breeding my own yeast properly real soon. Thanks NHB!

Hey mate,

Few questions, I have tried emailing through a few times but haven't gotten a reply yet. Probably just got missed no biggy.

Your silicone hose, how's it go with boiling wort? Is it thick walled stuff?
Your biab bag and hop sock, had any issues with them?

Cheers

No idea why you can't get an email through.

[email protected] takes some serious traffic each day.

The silicone hose is thick walled and works fine with boiling wort. The hop socks - have to say I'm not 100% happy with as the supplier keeps changing his mind on quality levels ATM - They're OK, but not great. We'll have some nice fine ones with draw strings in a matter of weeks. The BIAB Bags are fine. Nothing flash, they're functional, inexpensive, they hold grain, work fine for a few dozen brews. We are working on one which will impress the guys that like to take the kids to school in a Aston Martin.

Not aware of any issues at this stage.

11.00pm, got to clean the shop and get home for some shut eye so I can come back at 6:45 and do it all again.

Cheers,
Martin

Hopefully the knowledge you are providing Australia's home-brewers with quality products at cheap prices with excellent service can help compensate for the lack of sleep.

Altogether now: AWWWWWWW!!!

;)

Can I just say thanks to Martin.
I have had many emails regarding what I need to purchase for Mash-In-An-Urn and he has been constantly helpful which is a win for sure.

Just spoke to Martin on the phone today. He's sending my order to Melbourne today. His service is excellent and his willingness to help is impressive.

What size is the thread on the Bayou burner you sell Martin, I've got a keg king reg already so I'm hoping I can get away without buying one if possible.

I'm looking at Martin's HP reg & the propane burner & stand, here.
If anyone's using one, could you shoot me a PM.
I've been inundated all of a sudden with a few mates requesting that I get a bit more serious & pump out bigger batches. These guys drink like fish & love the beers & they want more, lots more. It's just an idea at this stage but I'm considering doing back to back mashes on the 50lt BM, 90min each, making use of the excellent step mash capabilities & temp control of the BM. Combine both mashes to a 150lt kettle & boil on one of Martin's burners.
Anyone found a decent place to get a 150lt boil kettle?
Stainless or Aluminum?

Cheers Martin, will place an order some time this morning, will postage calculate automatically on something that large?

I placed an order for it earlier and the cart calculated freight of $10.85 by courier, if that's not right call let me know and I'll fix up the remainder.
