Everytime i poke around this forum i end with more work to do!
I came across the Hard Lemonade threads, read most of them, and since my lemon tree has been overflowing for a month, and i was trying to work out what to do with them all - it seems fate has intervened:
I'm going to try and use up what I have at hand:
30 lemons, most of the pith removed, chopped and zested, then mashed up with a little hot water to help soften the lemons and extract the juice and oils form the zest.
I have a spare kg of Coopers Blend Booster II sitting around, and a kilo of dex.
My concern is: will the dex dry out a Lemonade to much?
Am i better off just chucking in a kilo of Castor sugar?
Otherwise i'll make it all up to 23lt and add a coopers kit yeast i have sitting around
Any major holes in this? I'm not looking for perfection, just a basic lemonade using up what i have. I'm not too concerned if its a little bitter or sour, happy to use it as a summer mixer.
Any ideas/comments appreciated
