Among all of your successful beers, which one is your favorite?

A difficult question to answer. I use more EKG than any other hop and that tends to be used in English IPA, Saison (in the Dupont style) and a stout. Probably the English IPA. At least that is today and that could be because I have two of those three kegged right now. The next brew (whatever that will be) might bring a different answer. I live in the moment apparently.

My best by far was an India black ale, with huge amounts of simcoe and cascade. Blood lovely.

My favourite is still probably my first ever AG brew (a TT Land Lord clone from Dr Smurto). It probably wasn't my best every beer in regards to "getting things right" but it was head a shoulders above all the extract brews I'd ever made and started me down the path of grain brewing.

Once a year for the last decade I've brewed a batch of Brown Porter.
I made up the recipe after listening to a podcast of Can You Brew it.
It always works out for me.

A malty ale that has varied a bit, 25-30 IBUs, OG 1.048-1.050, flavoured with @ 5-6g/L of Mandarina Bavaria in a 60 minute hop stand at @ 80 C. Usually bitter with MB. Usual grist 62% Golden Promise, 25% Munich II, 10% Golden Naked Oats, 3% Caraaroma. BRY-97 yeast but may try Verdant or Wyeast 1028.

Subbing MB dry hop made the hop flavour and aroma less distinctively tangeriny, though overall more assertive.
