Mash Master Thermo's, Waterproof?

hi all,

mashmaster weldless thermometer - 3'' sort stem for kettle and mash tun.

just about to put in an order with ross and have been looking at these for ages. my only question is how do people go when they clean their kettle and mash tun with these installed???

i assume they are waterproof, but do they get in the way when cleaning????? currently i just use a handheld one, sometimes it is a bit repetitive.

any input appreciated.

Don't hose them, just be carefull while cleaning. I dont think they are water proof.
Brissy brew will know though..
