making a FERMENTER

has anyone made a small fermenter?
Im looking to try and make something only a couple Ltrs in size just so i can try a few different recipes till i find something i like.
has anyone tried this before? as i cant find anything small enough to buy

You can just use a pet or hdpe bottle. You can buy small jerry cans at bunnings, a juice bottle can be used if not filling hot.

just frill a hole in the top and stick in a normal FERMENTER breather?

5 litre glass demijon from your LHBS.

Forget the airlock/breather - just tighten the lid, then back off a few notches or use some glad wrap and a rubber band.
