Is it just me... or are Little creature beers (pale ale, bright ale) hoppy as hell?

Eeeeerr, isn't that the style they're brewed to, i.e. they're meant to be that way?
I guess if they're not to your taste, you need to find beers which are malt driven, rather than hop driven.

Im sure they are meant to be that way. I was just suprised how hoppy they were.. first commercial beer ive tasted that was sooo hoppy

To be perfectly honest, the last few bottles of pale Ale and Bright from LC have been very disappointing - unfinishable in the case of the pales - twice!

Saw pale ale pint bottles on sale at Dan's here on the Gold Coast, grabbed two - couldn't finish either. First time ever - I normally love LCPA but don't know what the go was with these. The Bright was pretty lacklutre as well.

I don't know if I got a few bad bottles - there were all from the same store - or my palate is ruined from all the hops I've consumed in the last few years. I will be back for more Lc though in the future.

Kev,

I had to stop having the odd LCPA as the were a bit off in the last 4-6 weeks. Bright Ale is still OK though. All from First Choice Liquor at Chancellor Park on the Suncoast.

InCider.

A good friend from work was worried when I was telling him about the ordinary pints...he's off to a conference in Perth as we speak, intends to spend a day at the brewery and had bought a carton of pints from the same Dan's I'd been to.

Said he was 'training up the palate' for the trip.

Could be messy.

Depends entirely on your definition of hoppy. More hoppy than megaswill? Yes.

More hoppy than their commercial counterparts from the US? No.

Tasty? Yes. :D

Still drinking LCPA stubbies from the First Choice in Southport, tastes good :)

ive also noticed a change in the flavor of the LCPA not off just a bit of a tweek not quite as intence in the cascade as normal anyway still a great beer & in no way to hoppy IMO

I noticed that 1st choice was mentioned in here, Well I've been drinking Cacade 1st Harvest which to me is an awesome beer, I found 2 boxes at 1st store Mt Gravatt and both were undrinkable, Do these people leave there beers in the suns for a few days while shipping,
