Hi guys. I just bottled my first proper lager from a kit and I wanted to check if I had done everything right. The only problem is that I can't remember what brand it was. So I used saflarger s23. I fermented it in the fridge at 12C for around 3 weeks till the hydrometer read 1010 then I transferred it to another drum and dropped the temperature down to 4C for roughly 4 weeks to clear it. I just bottled it and it smelled good and I tried a little bit and I thought it was good. What do you guys think?

Cheers

For a first lager sounds like you nailed the fermentation and conditioning process, especially with temperature control you should be drinking a nice beer.

Good work!!!
Am currently doing the same - my first temp controlled brew @ 12C. Mine has only been down for about 36hrs now,
Is a bit unnerving at first that the airlock isn't roaring along like my previous non-temp controlled brews, but I've seen bubbles and krausen, so I'm happy. Also first time using a 60lt fermenter (brewing 45lt).
Cheers,
Droopy

Damn. Thought this was more spam. All i saw was "Larger by Droopy". Clicked on it for the wrong reasons. Carry on.
