Hi, happy newyear all
Can a lag time be to short?
I just pitched a 1lt starter (1035) of S 04 into 21Lt brew at 22c og 1044. 4hours latter it's going of its head.
1pkt of yeast.

Hey Kev,

I'm no expert..but if you have fermentation at a controlled temp, its happy days.

However, I could be wrong.

If it was me I would not be concerned.

Cheers :kooi:

With an OG of 1.044 and 21L it really doesn't need a starter with a pack of S04, but it'll be fine. Nothing to worry about.

Sounds good!

I have had lag with S04 before, but if you've got it rocking after 4 hours, then you're all good.

I wouldn't want to let it get too much warmer though.
