Kit with added hops (pellets). What do I do with the green leftovers?

It's a newbie question, but today I picked up some Hop tablets to add to an India Pale Ale; boiled, added at the right times, then filtered it into the kit. I've got a lot of green gunk left and I can't shake the feeling that it should have also gone into the fermenter. Is that right? Or do I keep it out?
 
If you strained it in, keep it out. If it goes in next time, it's no big deal. Either way, it settles down into the trub layer anyways.
 
I just leave mine in. Just be careful when bottling or transferring to secondary to avoid getting too much trub into ya bottles
