Kettle Question

Hi All
Just doing a bit of brain picking here,my kettle just has 1/2" socket and tap,should it have a short pick up on the inside to help help avoid a bit more of the break or it dosent matter :blink: any thoughts would be great thanks

I think you said youre currently no chilling, so I am assuming you are also whirlpooling before draining into a cube/fermenter. If this is the case it wouldnt make to much difference, however a pickup tube will allow you to completely drain the kettle and greatly reduce your dead space.

thanks Jye Iam doing the whirlpool thing, mite put one on just wanted to see if it made any difference
