A new o-ring around the diptube (make sure it's lubricated) usually fixes it, if it's leaking out the top then a new poppet seal, again, lubricate.

Oh, and of course the o-ring around the post on the outside if it's leaking with a disconnect on, that's usually the main culprit. Try a few different models (thicknesses, different retailers might have different ones) and again, make sure it's well lubricated. This has fixed every leaking post I ever had.
Cheers florian. I'll have a concerted crack at fixing them all up.

Manticle, did you ever fix the bung thread on one of your cornie posts? (Apologies if this wasn't you).
Got one with a similar issue and not sure whether to bother sourcing a decent die up to the job.

Yonks ago I had an issue with a thread but I think it was me, early on in my kegging career (still early now) trying to fit a gas post on a liquid out or something equally embarassing.

Cheers, mines been whacked on the thread and only goes on a couple of turns. Might just keep it for line cleaning me thinks.

Nothing wrong with the new Keg King Stainless 19L kegs. I've got a couple myself.

If you're worried, they come with a 5-year warranty - which should speak volumes (no pun intended).

A cornet is basically the same as a trumpet, but with a mellower sound.... but not quite as mellow as a flugelhorn. But that's not important right now.

Didn't someone say on here a while ago that there would be heaps of used kegs coming out of China soon?
I said this a while ago
There's still loads of them for sale on alibaba, but I think the price point is a bit too high to make importing them profitable

Nah, it's the threaded section welded to the keg that's damaged.

Camo,
Obviously, running a die nut over the thread is your best option but if you have a small smooth triangular file you should be able to remove the burrs caused by the "whack" by carefully filing along the thread.
Any leaks at the base of the thread can be sorted by filing out a small groove around the leak then applying some food-grade solder & a little heat.
Hope this helps?

Cheers TP, I'll have to dig it out and have another look. It was a couple of turns that were out of shape and it laughed at my thread file.

Supposably the shortage is so bad kegking can't stock them anymore
Can't be that bad. Connorbreware just received an order of 1000 2nd hand kegs

stocks his own brand new ones maybe he doesn't feel the need to stock second hand ones anymore.

1000 maybe they're some of those ones out of China they mention above somewhere?

More of a point of interest then anything. I got my kegs new so either way not to worried about a shortage

Also crazy to think that he is ordering in batches of 1000, wonder how quick he sells them

Connor Breware, $60 each in quantities of 2 or more. Cheapest I have seen so the shortage is definitely overstated...

I need a few fixed up. Any recommendations? All ball lock, different types and different issues. Need someone to assess and repair or recommend avenue of repair.

Could turn them into ss fermenters with a ball valve but if they are becoming rare, I'd rather hang onto them.
I had some leaking at the bottom of the post cause the rubber had word down due to the posts being taken on / off. made a new silicon bakeware washer, all fixed.
