Just had to say this is the best beer I have made yet . was made from left overs and my first attempt at adjusting the water slightly also I boiled much more vigorously than usual. 12 days primary 4 days cold crash @ 3degrees then bottle. 12days @ 20 degrees then 7 at 10 degrees before first taste and have to say this is the clearest beer I have made yet and the tastiest .
the recipe was for a 10ltr test batch as follows
vienna malt 2.5kg
wheat malt german 100g
light chocolate 10g
acid malt 70g
target 6g 60min
target 12g 20min
citra 15g 5min
citra 15g 20min whirlpool
Wyeast 1056.
have to say thanks for all the advise I have gotten from everyone on here it has helped lots in the improvement of my beers .
there is a wealth of knowledge to be found from the people on this forum
thanks.
water additions I am not going to put up as every ones are different.
still got room for improvement but overall very nice . Could do with some dry hopping I think but no hops left.
will put a photo up when I find my charger so I can show how clear this is.
I'm super happy with the clarity as it stands up to any commercial beer in that respect. and only used irish moss.
Anyway just wanted to crap on a bit I guess
