Advertising was once considered very-un Australian and still should be.

Mayhaps the term un-australian should only be seen as relevant to the common citizenry who have a modicum of consideration for their fellow australians. For those who run the joint, and the uneducated morons who get their jollies filling up with VB and trashing anything and anyone who crosses their path.....the phrase has no application whatsoever.

But not trading in sly grog. Harks back to that mutinous prick William Bligh's actions at the behest of his British overlords prohibition on trading rum.
I say its an infringement upon our cultural birthright by bigoted colonials.
I've a good mind to write a stern letter to Mike Baird (MP).

Bit of a joke really, considering I presume that taxes etc has been paid, no monetary loss to the government, not like the good old days when every man and his dog was laundering money through Paypal and online TAB accounts. Billions of dollars lost then.

Ah, whats the difference? They getcha one way or the other. So I rob a bank in England, get in touch with my man in the Cayman islands then return to Australia.
Gotta live somewhere flash, probably drop about 2.5 million on a McMansion cos I'm an ostentatious crook with no taste, there's about 125 K stamp duty.
Need a flash car, a top of the line Range Rover in black would be just the ticket, say around 395K, there's 33% I'm paying above the the 63 K threshold LCT.
Then there's all the Armani suits, 10 grand watches, jewelry, Ralph Loren and Versace for my 'partner', Michelin star restaurant meals - the list goes on, all gouging 10% of the bill for tax.

Back in the real world, every time I see organisations like the Children's hospital, Heart research institute, or even the local volunteer firefighter's either cap in hand panhandling for donations or via sausage sizzles or fun runs whilst the likes of Arrmanatha Nasir, Indonesia's foreign ministry spokesman turns around and shows appreciation for the six hundred million odd million we give his country per year by saying ' we're not asking for it', it makes me sick.
KP had it about right from 6:30.

I wonder what you could have got for 12 long necks of Home Brand lager kit and a kilo of dex?
3 or 4 decent headaches if you ferment hot enough, and if you can keep those fusels and fruity lexia flavours down.

Does Bartercard still exist? I thought that cashless exchange of goods and services was their model.
So OK for businesses but not for we Serfs.
Had a mate who worked for ContraCard, who were taken over by Bartercard in the early 90's. He had a great time on their coin and tried to pass his debt to me, as his business partner. Might have been nice to see him go to jail, but instead I spent years explaining to numerous debt collectors that I had a statement to prove that the business was not responsible for his personal debts. Still have a copy of my documentation in case they try it on again.

What? Only 10%?
I thought it was already 15%.
Those *******s have already convinced me that they're going ahead with that rate.
Sorry. Carry on brewing.
