Hi guys

I brought a medium adjustable LPG regulator from beer belly awhile back, and I have just hooked it up to my 23 jet Mongolian burner. When I release the ball valve slightly to light the burner, the flames shoot up approximately 40cm. If I open the valve fully, the flames will nearly hit the garage roof! Am I doing something wrong? Should the dial on the regulator be screwed all the way in or out when lighting? Also should I be using the regulator on this burner?

shudn't u use a low pressure reg with a mongolian??? unscrewing the med reg out lowers pressure...ian

The burner will have it's designed operating pressure on it and the type of gas it is designed to use. Are you sure it is not set up for NG? I am guessing you are using LPG. Find someone with a monometer to correctly set the regulator pressure.
