Soap and warm water. Clean as soon as possible after brewing so nothing gets too stuck on.

The thing about being a "brewer" is that you're really just a glorified cleaner, who happens to pour some grain into some warm water, then move the resulting liquid from vessel to vessel.

yep warm soapy water and a soft sponge.

other than that someone posted about a liquid you could buy last week that was for cleaning aluminium but he was asking if he could use it on SS, have a search should be about.

Soapy water and a plastic SOS-type scrubby pad. Like the steel wool scrubbies, but made from plastic. Works well. Don't get too hung up about getting the inside completely clean - you probably won't. It doesn't hurt the beer if you're not able to get it sparkling.

If you want something to get off beer stone, use "Coopers homebrew sanitiser" found in most any Coles or Woolies/Safeway. Its pure sodium percarbonate (active ingredient of napisan) which is safe on stainless steel and aluminium - rips through all organic deposits.

Bloody hopeless sanitiser, but a great cleaning agent.
