I'm wondering what sort of brew I can expect with the following ingredients;

Beermakers Draught 1.7kg kit
Light Dry Malt (have either 500g, 1kg or 1.5kg to use)
Dextrose (have either 1kg or 2kg to use)

Have some Fuggles finishing hops if that could be useful in this combination

I also have the Tooheys Real Ale kit which I can switch instead of the Beermakers Draught if that comes with a "better" recommendation...

Over to you more experienced brewers...

Thanks.

Beer...of somekind.

Seriously, I've tried the Toohey's kit and haven't been impressed.
Use less dextrose, more malt. I'd use 1.5kg of Malt and 500g of Dextrose (that will have some kick).

Finishing hops is good, is it a teabag or the real stuff ?
If it's a teabag, use it up and never buy another one. If it's the real stuff, boil the malt for 10 minutes and add the hops at flameout.

Give it a go, take notes (unlike me) and figure out what works for you.
