Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has done any gypsy brews in Melbourne? Where can I find available and willing breweries as well some idea of cost?

Thanks!

Not sure about Melbourne but generally the cost for this sort of arrangement will be around $170 a keg. Then it's up to you to sell them @ $250 a keg.

I wouldnt really have a clue but Southern Bay Brewery in Geelong does contract brewing and I think but not sure but Kaiju in Dandy Sth do as well. Youd have to be doing big volumes though.

I've heard Dainton in Carrum Downs might start doing it too.

Are they malt extracts brewers(above post)
Seems like it (they mention malt and grain so maybe a steep of some spec grains?)
Brewing takes about 1½ hours but you should allow at least 2 hours on your first visit.
Also, processes may not be up to scratch
After packaging, the beer will need to be kept cold to avoid fermentation in the bottle.
