    I'd vote Stout or Tooths.
    Fwiw, i'll probably submit an Aussie Bitter. So it might be interesting to compare the finer differences between ours & DJ's 059 Bitters.
    First Bohemian Pilsner. First day chilled on tap. Now why havn't I made these before? Cracker of a good beer.

    WLP802 Czech Budejovice Lager. 2nd brew onto the whole yeast cake I usually don't do that but overpitching makes for great crisp Lagers.

    No mashing, no sparging, no boiling, no chilling. Still I managed to spend 5+ hours doing brewing stuff on a rainy windy day.

    Its progress. Replaced rubber washers for the thermowell. Heat treating the kegmenter. Pressure tested. Ready to go!

    It's become one of the pleasures of brewing for me. There's always something to do. Never, not once, have I gone out to the brewery and sat around wishing for something to do. When I started back in after a 15 year break I committed myself to cleaning, "Boy, if you can't get into cleaning, find another hobby." It's made it much more enjoyable, weirdly. That and an ace pair of gumboots.

    just came back in from 4 hours of cleaning, such a good feeling when its all done...until I brew again this weekend and it starts all over again!

    Bitsa recipe greats. Only imposible to reproduce. Bummer. I have this Imperial Stout thing made of home canned leftover assorted worts and total mungrel mix of ingredients and it is soooo good. Yet imposible to reproduce another one. Oh well.

    hmmm.. Ive still got hops in my freezer 3+ years old and are fine.. not sure why you have this issue.

    2014 Hallertauer Mittelfrueh so I guess its just the lesser storability of that type. Tested Altbier with old hops compared to new. Big difference. The old hops taste stale, astringent and smell a little off.

    Very big difference storing cool and storing sub-zero. I also have old hops, but they smell as fresh as the day I put them in the freezer

    Nah its more like walking through a forest with Gandolf and the air is somewhat calming and euphoric
    Dont yu hate that. Perfect brew day yesterday finshed ahead of scedual, no chill. Pre prepared for next weekend easy brewing and find cap on one of the cubes has split.
    You know your on good track when you pull apart your ball valve of your keggle and that chocolate brown stain muck inside smells like yummy concentrated malt.
    Ok. I never new how my AD11 PH probe would end its shelf life that I was advised about. Now I know.

    With a whimper. I realise after I shouldn't have used the word probe. The sensor! All of a sudden I cant calibrate it. Trying in the 7 solution its reading 8.5 followed by WRNG!
    Its farked isn't it? I think I got more than 12 months out of it and now I know how to mash right.
