Yes, against all good reason the Pyssedas gang are once again organising an Intercontinental Pub Crawl this year, last year the good people of this fourm were brilliant in their participation with more than 30 members getting together in melbourne, and more around the country and indeed the world.
All up we had over 100 pubs, in 16 countries on 6 continents drinking on the 28th of May - and this year we are determined to have our final continent - Antartica on board

And of course we will again be producing pub crawl t-shirts this year listing all of the venues on the back - prices will be posted a little closer to the date

And what is the date? Saturday 27th of May 2006.

come check out the site for more information - http://www.geocities.com/pyssedas/crawl_2006.html or mail us at [email protected]

we look forward to catching up with all of our friends from last year who are still around, and to meeting many more new friends

Get involved!

Rock on Simon...thanks for the response...just send along your details to the email address posted...plus tell all your friends about it as well...the bigger the response, the better!...cheers mate!

Ok, before I commit to an email stating the venue's, how many Perth peep's are interested in bouncing between Little Creatures and the Sail&Anchor on that day?

Simo

Edit: speling
Edit#2: We could maybe even get to a few of the Swan Valley micro's too, like Feral, Elmars, Duckstein etc. Would need to hire a minibus or something tho.....

Hi Everyone - just a quick update on the Intercontinental Pub Crawl - we are not trying to cut across the AHB Sydney crawl - the more crawls the better we say...

There are only 50 sleeps till the 2006 Great Intercontinental Pub Crawl! And that means that it's time to stop focussing all of your attention on the Commonwealth Games [this is probably only applicable to those of us in Commonwealth countries] and get your planning hats on for the crawl.

In addition to a number of Australian cities, we have received news that San Diego is now on board - welcome to our first official US city for 2006.

Our original artwork manager for the 2006 crawl appears to be missing somewhere in Pennsylvania so unless we hear from him in the next couple of days we may be needing a new skillful artist for this year's t-shirts.

Please do your best to promote the crawl through your networks - and get back to us with the names of your cities and chosen venues as soon as possible!

Hi Everyone and welcome to the delayed Friday Pub Crawl update,

What with the Pyssedas supercomputer being offline a bit in the last week things have been a little quiet if you have been considering joining us for the crawl now is the time to do so!

If you are already part of the crawl why not choose a couple of your closest friends to send this message on to so that the crawl can grow even bigger and sillier.

There are still many fine cities out there, including previous participants, who are letting themselves down a bit

Australia:
Melbourne, Australia has now taken the lead for the city with the most venues a staggering 17! Although London England continues to threaten to do more

Asia:
We have clarified that it is in fact the city of Ulsan in South Korea who will be undertaking the crawl they now have 6 venues listed, including The Robot Place sounds good to us!

We also welcome for the first time to our crawls Kabul in Afghanistan!

North America:

We have clarified that Hayward is in California, other than that North America has had a disappointing week.

There are still many fine cities out there, including previous participants, who are letting themselves down a bit

5 Continents 6 Countries 20 Cities 58 Venues

In your brief Monday Update:
Antarctica joins the crawl
Londons announce their crawls
US & Australia tied for most cities on the crawl

Antarctica joins the Crawl:
Huzzah we finally have Antarctica on the crawl. After years of trying not one, but two bars in the Antarctic joined over the weekend. We welcome the Penguin Pub at Palmer Station, and the Dodgy ******* Bar at Ninety Degrees South. Now for South America

Londons Announce their Crawls:
Talk about not one but two Two Londons confirmed their venues over the weekend, with Kirsty in England planning 12 pub crawl, and Dogger Dan in Canada attempting 4 venues and a game of golf well done guys!

US & Australia tied for most cities on the crawl:
Over the weekend New Haven in Connecticut and Warren in Michigan signed up for the crawl bring the US level with Australia on 9 cities/towns participating. England is on 4, with South Africa on 3 cities.

All up we have 87 venues in 36 cities in 13 countries on 6 continents involved the t-shirt design is coming together [we have 14 expressions of interest in shirts] thanks to all people who are telling their friends and getting more places involved!

I'll be in Bamberg this year ;) Once again though I'll have to abstain from any pub crawl though, it's more of a quiet weekend away with the girly for my birthday.

I'm sure you could manage one - perhaps they brew a nice romantic beer in Bamberg - seems a pity to go there and not find out...

48 hours left to contribute to t-shirt design
Brisbane Australia goes silly!
6 continents 13 countries 38 cities 119 venues
Souvenir booklet contributions

48 hours left to contribute to t-shirt design:
Thanks to everyone who has been encouraging their friends to join in the crawl it is growing really quickly at the moment we need the names of all cities and venues who wish to be included on the t-shirt design by close of business Friday Australian time [ie about 48 hours from now] Once again anyone who can convince people in South America to join in that would be great.

We can produce and send t-shirts anywhere in the world for $22 australian which is the same price as last year but you need to let us know you want one ASAP [email protected] - the t-shirt design will be freely available to anyone who wants to print their own elsewhere in the world.

Brisbane goes silly:
Brisbane, Australia has taken the lead for the single biggest crawl in a city, with a list of 21 pubs to be attempted. Last year Brisbane crawled by ferry, happily they seemed to have decided on more conventional transport this year.

6 continents 13 countries 38 cities 119 venues:
While South America continues to disappoint the interest from the Antarctic is spectacular thanks to all the guys and girls down there who answered my odd emails in the beginning. Africa too is continuing to expand with another three cities, Sandton, Randburg and Midrand joining up. This moves the African total past that of Asia, and starting to close in on Europe. Both Auckland and Oslo have added more venues to their crawls. 119 venues is more than we had last year it would be great if we could hit 150

Souvenir booklet contributions:
We are trying to put together a souvenir booklet free to anyone who wants it for this years crawl if anyone has photos, memories of last years crawl [yeah right] descriptions of their homebrew clubs, anything at all really that we can include wed love to see it. Either mail it to us or contribute it over at the crawl forum - http://www.pyssedas.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=2
