I'm thinking I'll just grab a tin of muck, probably a Coopers IPA, box or two of DME, and throw some hops in it on day 5. Should be alright. Force carbonate it over 24 hours on the 13th, drink it on the 14th?

Can brew and carbonate a British session bitter or weizen from grain in that time, if you start soon.
Even a late-hopped APA is do-able in that time frame. 3-5 days ferment, and remaining time for carbonation. Even quicker if forced carb.
Why limit yourself to a can of goo?

All my brewing gear is packed away for my move to Sydney so basically only have a fermenter to hand! I'll crack on with something tonight. Might have to dig into one of the boxes for some steeping grain.

Welly, my Go To keg filler consists of; 1 x coopers Mexican Cerveza, 1 x coppers Wheat, 250g x Crystal/ Cara (Whatever you got) and hop that bitch with whatever you have.

Cheers.

That sounds tasty and quick and easy to put together! I might give that one a go. Cheers!

Otherwise as Les mentioned a weizen can be even quicker. Can of coopers wheat beer, some wheat malt and a yeast like Wy 3638 will be finished fermenting and tasting good within 3 days. My first weizen was grain to glass in 6 days without evening meaning to rush it.

Fresh Wort Kit?
...just add water (and yeast)

Not much of an option for that around here! Unless I got one shipped up north. I'm off to grab a couple of cans of muck from kmart/big w/lhbs and I think I'll give fishingbrad's recipe a shot. Looks easy as pie!

Buy a slab of good beer, crack a few open and dream of your perfect brew day ;-)

Yep go the fwk. By yhe time you buy hops/steeping grains to pimp the tin your up around the cost of one anyway. And then you'll have an extra no chill cube too

I always pitch a huge amount of yeast, and I make sure the osmolality is the same in the yeast pitched as that in the wort. Ferment is usually done in 24-48 hrs. Can keg and drink a day later, tastes fine. Improves for several weeks. Going from boil to drinking in 4 days is quite possible.
