  • Keg chest freezer stopped cooling properly (wouldn't get below 10), but thanfully have reinstalled all the gear back into the old keg fridge. Beer on tap again! Which also means I can get my fridgie mate to come have a look at the chest freezer!
Cleaned the fermentor after kegging my IPA and now my whole yard smells like hops. Not complaing

I accidentally 'eised' my oaked red ale in the freezer overnight. Flippin incredible...
Hydrometer fell through the bottom cap on the tube and onto the ground, and didn't break. I guess today must be a good day then

Yeah I know that all too well, knocked my glass last week and it was fine and the day after it decided to shatter in my hand :(

I'd be careful around that refractometer, they're known to crack if looked at the wrong way. I'd say it is possessed.

Yeah had that when first got back to this was used to a single capped tube...what gumby decided it was a great idea to have double ended capped tubes...seriously
Finally moved house and pretty keen to do get a brew going since I've been kegless for the last two/three weeks! Time for another mild and saison!
Forgot I had Star-San in the beer line of a beer I recently kegged and poured a tiny tester.. Was not a pleasant experience at all
Kegged beer is a wonderful thing! Still getting use force carbing, but there's nothing like be able to pour your beer from a tap at home.

don't you worry that when you feel like a drink you may lie underneath the tap open your mouth and turn the tap on?
APA I brewed for chirtmas is smelling a bit strange, so will have to brew another beer just in case it's not okay.. Best case, another beer for christmas!

This is a cunning plan and could fool some. Do another just in case or would that be stretching it?
'Testing' my 4 day old mild by having a glass straight out of the fermentor...

Had an earwig crawl out of my newly installed sight glass the other day (s'okay - wasn't brewing)... Time to find some plugs, else those "blockages" could be a result of some large insect.

Yeah good idea, although in this case it was due to a few stray grains that got over the bag at one stage and decided to burn inside..
Brewing first All grain toda - smoked porter. Should be an interesting day

Bright side got two beers bottled during the mash and assuming I volume estimate is correct, got an efficency of 83%. Pretty sure we may be out a few litres at least though..
Poured a tiny bit of my 3724 starter into a glass because I was curious what flavours the yeast gives. Wow that stuff produces amazing flavour!

+1 I recall guava as one of the fruits in the flavour
Bottling my Citra, Amarillo, Centennial and Magnum IPA tonight (180g of hops!). Already tasting amazing, but cannot wait for it to be nice and carbed!
