hi guys,

I have done 1 ginger beer in a fermenter and the guy from the lhbs said don't use that fermenter again for anything else otherwise it will taste like ginger.

Is that true ?

if so is there any thing I can do to make it usable ?

thanks
matt

Yeap clean it. I've done that many times before with both lemonade and ginger beer. All good to ferment a beer when properly cleaned!

Ferment. Carbonate. Drink.

Then brew some more!! :beerbang:

Yup, I did a 14 day ferment with heaps of fresh ginger, my fermenter was smelling VERY STRONGLY... Wash with your preferred product, air dry, sanitize with bleach/vinegar/water solution and it's good as new.

Tell your LHBS he or she is full of shyte. Been making scratch ginger beer for ages using whatever fermenterwas free NEVER and i repeat NEVER had any tainting what so ever. If you use a good quality cleaner like PBW or alikes you will never have any drama's.

Chap Chap
