Yep, in a rush today making a batch and forgot to add my 300 grams of oats to the mash. What can I do?
Can I add them to the boil, or should I cover my wort and mash the oats alone? Or should I just leave them out altogether?
Edit: I was trying to brew a robust porter with the following bill.
Ingredients
Amount Item Type % or IBU
3.60 kg Pale Malt, Ale (Barrett Burston) (3.0 SRM) Grain 60.00 %
0.72 kg Caramunich III (Weyermann) (71.0 SRM) Grain 12.00 %
0.54 kg Brown Sugar, Dark (50.0 SRM) Sugar 9.00 %
0.36 kg Melanoidin (Weyermann) (30.0 SRM) Grain 6.00 %
0.36 kg Oats, Flaked (1.0 SRM) Grain 6.00 %
0.18 kg Carafa III (Weyermann) (525.0 SRM) Grain 3.00 %
0.18 kg Wheat Malt (Barrett Burston) (1.5 SRM) Grain 3.00 %
0.06 kg Black (Patent) Malt (500.0 SRM) Grain 1.00 %
